SourceLink Nebraska Interview with Beeso Studio
SourceLink Nebraska interviews John Bunting the CEO and Founder of Beeso Studio
My name is John Bunting, I am the CEO and founder of Bezos Studio. So with Bezos Studio, what we do is we actively go out, we find tech startups, and then we look for, within those tech startups, we look for founders, we look for great ideas, we look for things that are just ultimately a good opportunity, we think, in venture scale. And then, if those things look good, we partner with them.
And by partnering with them, we help them with development, we help them with marketing, we help them with sales, we help them raise funding. It's very much of a hybrid model in terms of our partnerships, where there is a lot of things that we do that don't have a cost, and we really help them grow, build the company. And it's an exciting space to be in, in terms of what we do.
And what's awesome is the fact that we talk to, you know, 100 startups or more a month, and just all the different ideas and the great founders that we find. And then we also have the ability to, you know, work with different startups in Omaha and help them grow here. As an entrepreneur, there's a lot of challenges you have.
And one of the first things is, where do I go to for help? Especially if you need help with, you know, some software development or accounting or legal services or whatever that may be. There's a lot of different, you know, things involved with building a company. And SourceLink kind of creates that virtual community here in Nebraska that people can find resources and people to connect with.
And that's why I think there's real value in SourceLink Nebraska. SourceLink Nebraska, because it builds this virtual online community where if I'm starting a business, I can go there, I can look, I can find people to connect with and businesses that can help me. I think that's incredibly valuable, because when you, you know, when I started, there really wasn't a resource like that, you know, three years ago, four years ago.
And for us, it was very much where we just, you know, for us, I think we first started talking to the Omaha Chamber and connecting with them, and then just trying to network and get to know different people in the area. And so it was a little bit, a little bit challenging to do that. But I think having a resource like SourceLink Nebraska makes it a lot easier, where it's sort of a one stop shop that people can go to and find those connections.
When I moved to Omaha, Nebraska from Las Vegas, I looked at this space and essentially ecosystem in the Midwest for startups. And I found that there wasn't a startup studio in the Midwest. At the time, this was about three years ago, four years ago, that the closest one was in Denver, and then there was one in Chicago, and then I believe one in Texas somewhere.
But looking at the Midwest, it was a wide open space. And I felt like there needed to be a startup studio here. And that's why I founded Visa Studio here.
One of the real key advantages with working with us is that we help build product. We have a development team in Indonesia, and so we're able to build some very complex applications, very complex software technologies. And we do that very cost effectively.
There's a huge efficiency that we can provide and deliver for any startup. Additionally, one of the things that we're, I would say, getting better and better at each day is our ability to raise funding. A lot of times when you're doing a tech startup, you need capital to help grow and raise, really grow that company and give us some fuel.
And with our network of connections, we're connected to probably about 100 angel investors in the US. We're connected to multiple investor syndicates, as well as some VCs, and we have the ability to make introductions and help present our startups to these investors and help raise funding for them. One of the things with us is that we recognize that a startup needs to reach certain criteria in order to raise capital.
And we help guide and coach them in terms of what type of investors to talk to at that point in time and how to present themselves. And in turn, the investors know that when we make that connection, that it's a viable opportunity because they've gone through our process and they've been evaluated by us.
